    Well guys this came out of blue, the first off-screen and work-in-progress images of Homefront 2, which is currently in development at Crytek has been leaked via promotional material.

  • First Homefront 2 Gameplay Footage (Off Screen) Leaked

    Is this first gameplay footage of Homefront 2?, Yes it is. The footage is taken from early build of Homefront 2 which is currently in development at Crytek.

    Take a look at the footage below, you can see proper Homefront 2 gameplay from 6:50 mark. Apart from Crytek as developer nothing has been confirmed about Homefront 2 not also the platforms on which it will arrive.

    With GamesCom 2013 just around the corner, we expect to hear something official.

  • THQ Officially Sold Off, Full Auction Details along with sales figure revealed

    The curtain is finally down, THQ has been officially CLOSED DOWN. All assests of the firm has now sold to other game publishers via auction that lasted for 22 hours.

    THQFew result from the auction are listed below (NOTE: Price mention are not officially confirmed):

    • Sega agreed to purchase Relic ($26 million)
    • Koch Media agreed to purchase Volition ($22.3 million) and Metro franchise including upcoming Metro: Last Light ($5.8 million)
    • Crytek agreed to purchase Homefront ($500,000)
    • Take 2 agreed purchase Evolve ($10.8 million Confirmed)
    • Ubisoft agreed to purchase Montreal ($2.5 million) and rights to South Park: The Stick of Truth ($3.2 million)

    Vigil Games (developer behind Darksiders series) was unsold. THQ's Farrell and Rubin said that they will make effort to find appropriate buyers, if possible."

    Details regarding sales of WWE license is also not revealed, but according to reports coming out from IGN, it will be acquired by TAKE-TWO.

  • First Homefront 2 details coming this week

    It seems like THQ will be sharing first details on Homefront 2 later this week. Huw Beynon, Head of Global Communications at THQ has posted a image of Crytek logo along with a caption that reads

    Homefront 2"Last week it was Metro: Last Light. This week we’re checking in on another upcoming FPS from THQ…"

    For Homefront 2, Crytek has picked up the development rights for THQ and i am keeping my finger cross for first details on the game later this week.

  • Crytek: Homefront 2 "can make a big splash at the time it comes out"

    In a recent interview to GamesIndustry, Crytek Co-founder Avni Yerli said that Homefront 2 can make big splash at launch even though the first game in franchise got critical reception.

    Homefront 2"It has a huge mind share, everybody knows the IP," explained Yerli. "The first game has indeed a low Metacritic, but due to really great positioning and great marketing it has reached a good mind share. And I think with Crytek quality attached to it and similar marketing attached to it, it can make a big splash at the time it comes out."

    Crytek's GM Nick Button-Brown teases some really cool setting for Homefront 2. ""When you look at the world they created in the first game and the world that they were talking about for the second game, the setting they were talking about... obviously we can't talk about it yet, but it's really cool."

    "The team choose and they really, really like it and thought it was a great opportunity and we'll support them on that."

  • Crytek to develop Homefront 2

    THQ has just announced that the Homefront sequel titled as "Homefront 2" will be developed by Crytek's UK studio, who worked on the multiplayer portion of Crysis 2 and previously developed Time Splitters.

    Crytek head Cevat Yerli said, "We see Homefront as a really strong universe that has a lot of potential and that has been expertly created and marketed by THQ,"

    "We believe that bringing our level of quality, creativity and production values to the next Homefront title, creates an opportunity for both THQ and Crytek to deliver a truly blockbuster game.  It’s really important to us that THQ has the faith in giving us a lot of creative freedom over one of its most important properties to allow us to bring the Homefront world to life in a new and innovative way."

    However whether or not Homefront will run on CryEngine 3 has yet to be confirmed.

  • Kaos: Homefront 2 will have longer campaign

    Kaos Studio latest FPS Homefront received mixed response from fans and critics all around the world. One thing that came under radar about Homefront was its campaign length, many said that its too short. Now David Votypka from Kaos Studios has assured fans that Homefront 2 will have length campaign.

    Here is what David Votypka when talking about sequel:

    “I think going forward we’d certainly work on extending it a few hours, but going past the 10-hour mark and doing a category-leader multiplayer game… you just have to balance your development resources there.”

  • Kaos Studio jazzed to begin development work on Homefront 2

    David Votypka, Kaos Studio GM has said that the studio is very much eager to start the development work on Homefront sequel. He further goes on to say that the development team has tons of new ideas for Homefront 2 and they just need to figure out which ones can fit into sequel.

    In an interview to Gamerzines David Votypka said, "We've always viewed Homefront as a franchise," said Votypka talking to us yesterday at a Homefront event in London, "and I think everybody in the studio is pretty jazzed to start on the next one to improve and expand on what we've done in the first.

    "The world of Homefront is so rich and fertile with the idea of occupation; not only occupation in the USA but occupation as a philosophy in a video game and experiencing the human/civilian side of it.

    "And then there are all the new systems that we brought to multiplayer and just experimenting on those. We're super excited about all the ideas we have. In fact, there are so many ideas that we have to try and figure out which ones we can fit into Homefront 2."

    Homefront will launch in United States on March 15, and in United Kingdom on March 18.

  • Kaos: Next Homefront could set in London

    Jeremy Greiner, Kaos Community boss stated that there is every possibility in future gamers can see Homefront set in London.


    Jeremy said, “This isn’t an American flag waver. It’s really important to us that people all over the world can identify with the themes of occupation,”

    “We’re not interested in triggering American patriotism. Hopefully those themes will be universal.

    “So absolutely, we could do a Homefront London. We’ve even joked on our Twitter that we could do a Homefront Reykjavik. We can do anything.”

    We all are aware that in Homefront we sees North Koreans invades a weakened US, and details about Homefront 2 already confirmed by Bilson, it takes place on the other side of the Mississippi, nobody knows what’s going on over there because the North Koreans have irradiated the Mississippi with radioactive iodine and nobody can cross it without a hazmat suit. It’s very interesting stuff.

    Homefront is schedule to release on March 8 United States and on March 11 in United Kingdom.
