Guerrilla Games has started a new round of hires, which include several multiplayer experts that could be part of a project involving the online component, not a part of the Horizon: Zero Dawn franchise.
Earlier this week, Guerilla Games released patch 1.14 for Killzone: Shadow Fall to fix numerous issues and prepare the game for upcoming free DLC content. It worked as per plan of developer, but sadly for games that patch also brings new glitch with it and Guerilla Games has acknowledge it on game's official forums.
The developer said: "The effect of the glitch can be seen on your career page and it will affect everyone that installed patch 1.14 on their PlayStation. The glitch resets the unlock count for the playercards, but does not reset the challenge count. In a nutshell this is only a menu glitch and it will not affect your progression. Its effect is only on the visual index of the playercard icons."
"You can still earn playercards – the menu in its current state will update to show 1/XX when a new icon is unlocked. You can select playercards from both My Career and Personalization menus"
The developer has assured us to fix the issue soon and not harm will be made to player's progress. Here is the snapshot of the glitch, how it would look like.

Before the release of Killzone: Shadow Fall, Sony and Guerrilla Games announced that multiplayer portion of Killzone: Shadow Fall will run at native 1920X1080p/60 FPS resolution, however this isn't the case at all as discovered by our friend at Digital Foundry.
Back in November 2013, Sony about Killzone: Shadow Fall multiplayer announced, "There’s the competitive multiplayer mode which, like the game’s campaign, runs at native 1080p and 60 fps." However according to recent tear-down by Digital Foundry, Killzone: Shadow Fall multiplayer runs at 960X1080p resolution.
In numerical figure "960x1080p equals to 1,036,800 pixels" and "1920x1080 equals to 2,073,600 pixels". This means Killzone: Shadow Fall multiplayer player resolution is half than single player resolution.
"In the single-player mode, the game runs at full 1080p with an unlocked frame-rate (though a 30fps cap has been introduced as an option in a recent patch), but it's a different story altogether with multiplayer. Here Guerrilla Games has opted for a 960x1080 framebuffer, in pursuit of a 60fps refresh. Across a range of clips, we see the game handing in a 50fps average on multiplayer. It makes a palpable difference, but it's probably not the sort of boost you might expect from halving fill-rate" said Digital Foundry.
So why in this world did Guerilla Games and Sony lie? As per my knowledge Frame-rate might be the only reason. For fluid and smooth online experience frame-rate close to 60 FPS is an important factor especially for shooters like Killzone: Shadow Fall, so maybe to achieve this Guerilla Games decided to sacrifice resolution in multiplayer to nearly half of its single-player campaign counterpart.
Now the question arises here, why nobody noticed this drop in resolution/fps before and made a fuss/hue-and-cry about Killzone: Shadow Fall's graphics in multiplayer? Tell us in the comment section below about what you guys think.
Guerrilla Cambridge has just released much awaited patch 1.06 for PS VITA exclusive "Killzone: Mercenary". This latest update adds two new maps, "Tharsis Depot and Blood Gracht".
You can read below description of both the maps below:
After incurring damage during the ISA invasion of Helghan, this subterranean mining platform has been converted to process nuclear Petrusite. Now that it’s back in full-scale production, the ISA will again battle Helghast and mercenary forces between the structures of Tharsis Depot. This time they intend to finish the job they started. Under the cavern’s artificial light this is a great map to play Guerrilla Warfare or Warzone on. A Mercenary version of the Killzone 2 classic.
Months after the nuclear blast that ruined most of the city, Pyrrhus is slowly recovering. But now with ISA, Helghast and mercenary troops clashing in the suburb’s buildings and winding alleyways, the canals once again run red with blood. This fan-favourite multiplayer map from Killzone 2 is ideal for all game modes.
The update weighs just 67MB in size. So guys what are you waiting for download it now and enjoy retouched versions of two of Killzone 2's most popular multiplayer maps.

Guerrilla Games is doing everything possible to keep their Killzone franchise fans happy. The developer via Killzone Official Twitter account announced that based on fan feedback they have added 24 player deathmatch modes to Killzone: Shadow Fall's official warzones.
This is really a great thing a developer listening to what fans demands and fulfilling it without any complaint.
By popular request, we've added 24-player Team Deathmatch to the official Warzones. Give it a spin and let us know what you think!
However 3D support which was also one of the msot sought after feature by fans for Killzone: Shadow Fall has been denied by Guerrilla Games. A pretty strange decision considering the fact that Killzone 3 on PS3 had 3 stereoscopic 3D support.
@Rtgamerguy We currently don't have any plans for 3D support, but I'll pass your request along to the team.
