A brand new piece of technology is rocking our gaming world and is set to wheedle its way into our little gaming hearts. Ever wish that you could just continue your game of Skyrim, Assassin’s Creed or Battlefield 3 when you’re doing things like riding the bus or waiting on line at the department store? Well, the PS VITA is here to save the day. Now not only can you play all of your favorite PS3 games on go, but you can pause a game on the PS3 system and pick it up later on the PS VITA.
But what games would be best to play on this handheld version of the PS3? Which games are going to destroy all forms of productivity we may have had now that they are in our pockets and no longer eagerly awaiting our return at home? There’s a lot to choose from, especially with the large number of fantastic titles that have come out this year. Here are some of the best PS3 games that are worth playing on PS VITA.
Little Big Planet
Let’s face it. This is just a great game. Sure they’re cute little sock men. And yes, we have seen our fare share of side scrollers before. But Little Big Planet it just made for playing on the PS VITA. The side scrolling format is a huge plus and, as long as you’ve played pretty much any other handheld gaming device before, won’t take any time to get used to when flipping between play on PS3 and VITA. Being able to go head to head with other players using both the PS3 and VITA is also a huge plus. Multiplayer will be just as much fun on the go as it is in the living room.
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
As one of the top games of the year, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is definitely on the list. This is an overall fantastic game that should be played wherever and whenever possible. With scores of side quests to complete, dungeons to clear and vast open landscape to explore, you will definitely be playing for some time before coming close to 100 percenting this game. But this is the beauty of the PS VITA. Where our busy lives would normally get in the way of our 100 percentage goal we now have the PS VITA to help us along on our way to being the hero of Skyrim.
Assassins Creed 2
While not the latest released game of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed 2 was undoubtedly the most refined out of all the games released to date. With its great storyline and historical setting, Assassin’s Creed 2 is a masterful RPG. Add on the parkour style running, jumping, dodging, stealing, and assassinating, and you have a game that can entertain for hours and hours.
This indie platformer is as fun as it is artsy. LIMBO is a sidescrolling wonder. Set in a dark world you must survive, you are faced with puzzles and other challenges as you make your way through gruesome swamps, dark forests and all manner of mysterious, dark, yet beautiful landscape. Once again the nature of the side scroller and the highly addictive nature of the game lend themselves beautifully for play on the PS VITA.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3
Everybody loves Marvel vs. Capcom – or any fighter game really. They are also one of the most versatile types of game out there, seen on consols, handhelds, arcades and more. Name it and it’s probably out there. That’s why Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is one of the best titles guaranteed to make a smooth translation between play on the PS3 to PS VITA. Play on your own or with friends, either way, Marvel vs. Capcom remains a great choice.
PS VITA is an amazing new handheld gaming device. Any PS3 game will be playable on this great handheld device. Now any video games you buy can live a double life, one as a consol game and another as a handheld. People everywhere will be able to play their favorite games wherever they are whenever they want. These are just some of the best titles of today and yesterday that will make great additions to the line-up on PS VITA’s everywhere. From RPGs to Platformers, PS VITA is a must have device that will be a great addition to every gamers collection that will serve to all their gaming needs.
