When the Medal of Honor multiplayer beta started last summer, Electronic Arts was itself surprised by the controversy that raised because in the multiplayer mode users could take the role of Taliban.
Finally the American publisher has decided cut out this possibility, more specifically removing the word "Taliban" and substituting "Opposing Force".
According to the game's executive producer Greg Goodrich, this decision was taken after receiving the impressions of friends and relatives of soldiers killed in the war in Afghanistan, adding further that this change will not affect the players or directly affect the game and its quality.
According end Goodrich,
"While this change should not directly affect gamers, as it does not fundamentally alter the gameplay, we are making this change for the men and women serving in the military and for the families of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice this franchise will never willfully disrespect, intentionally or otherwise, your memory and service."
