  • Xperia Play to launch in US next week

    US network provider Verizon has confirmed that Sony's Playstation licensed phone "Xperia Play", will launch in the country on May 26.

    Xperia Play will launch with seven games pre-loaded, and it will carry a price tag of $199 (two year contract with $30/month data plan).

    There will be a total of 50 games available for download at launch which includes PSone classics, selective andriod titles and many more.

  • Xperia Play to launch on O2 in June: Report

    According to the reports coming out from "3g", Xperia Play will launch in UK on one of the most popular network "O2" at somepoint in June.

    Initially PlayStation-certified device "Xperia Play" was schedule to released in April, but due to some bug issue it was delayed. Now reports claims that those bugs have been fixed and Xperia Play will now release in June.

    O2 is selling exclusive White Model of the device which comes with PlayStation Suite and the original Crash Bandicoot. Stay tuned for exact launch date.

  • Sony Ericsson's Xperia Play Available for pre-order, well known online retailer has started accepting pre-order for the very first Playstation Certified mobile phone "Xperia Play". Customer can pre-order the unlocked, sim free version of the phone for £519.99. Play has set its launch date as March 28.

    So if you wish to pre-order the handset then move on to to place your order. Sony has previously confirmed a March launch for the handset in United States, and regarding European release many reports are banking on April rollout.

  • Xperia Play Price Revealed?

    "Playstation Phone" price revealed?, To promote their new Playstation Phone "Xperia Play", developer Sony Ericsson has kicked off a contest in many European countries, which has resulted in handheld price being revealed.

    According to the contest page there are total of 10 Xperia Play is up for grab, and the total amount of the contest page reads as € 499900.

    This means that one unit of Xperia Play will cost something around 49900, roughly around $400/unit. However the price is just a speculation.

  • Gameloft confirms 10 launch titles for Sony Ericsson Xperia Play

    Gameloft a well known mobile game developer has announced that they will be releasing in total 10 game titles for the launch of Sony Ericsson's Xperia Play.

    The developer also announced that within six months time period they will be ready with 20 titles for Xperia. Last week at Xperia Play reveal event 50 game titles have been promised by various publishers.

    Out of the promised 10 launch game title from Gameloft Star Battalion and Asphalt 6 Adrenaline will be pre-loaded on the phone. The other eight games are:

  • Sony Ericsson Xperia Play United Kingdom launch date revealed

    Earlier today we reported that Sony's Playstation Phone (Xperia Play) full launch will be on February 13 at 6PM GMT, now according to leading network providers Orange and T-Mobiles Xperia Play will arrive in United Kingdom in April.

    The news is reported by technology site Pocket Lint, as Vodafone and O2 officially confirmed they are already working on to stock the handset. Three, another UK operator has said that they "are very exicted by Sony Ericsson's announcement" but revealed whether they too planned to stock the upcoming handset.

  • Sony PSP2 to have 3G and OLED display

    New details for the one of the most awaited handled console PSP2 has emerged. According the the japanese newspaper Nikkei has revealed the upcoming PSP2 will have 3G support and OLED display. As expected it will also support WLAN (Wifi). Wifi along with 3G will change the defination of handheld console. With 3G support you'll be able to connect with other players online around the world.

    Now coming to OLED display, means users will have touch screen interface in PSP2. And as Nikkei newspaper revealed more, sony also about to bring the new processor for the device.

    Nikkei also slated the details about the upcoming Playstation-Phone.  Its a smartphone which will include many gaming features. Playstation-Phone will feature the Google Android system and will allow users to access non-game software like video and scheduling software.

    Sony is expected to make some press announcement soon for new PSP system and Playstation Phone is expected to unveiled next month.
