  • Resistance 3 "Brutality" DLC trailer is full of ACTION

    Insomniac Games has released a new trailer for Resistance 3 upcoming DLC "Brutality Pack". The DLC will launch in North America and Europe today.

    On PS Blog, Insomniac describe this "Brutality Pack" as follow:

    This new DLC features a vicious survival mode where you face off against an army of ravenous grims as they try to take you and your friends down.

    And yup, it’s co-op – both online and offline. Plus, you get a special Mick Cutler skin AND the sledgehammer unlocked for all of the game’s modes, as well as a special Warden Static PS3 Theme.

  • Resistance 3 news coming on Dec 5, new DLC announcement?

    Insomniac Games on their official Twitter account announced that all PS3 gamers should keep an eye out for Resistance 3 news next week. Many reports are claiming that the developer will announce a new DLC content for the game.

    Nowadays common addition as DLC features multiplayer maps and new character skins, but for Resistance 3 i would prefer more single player content. Check out below what Insomniac Games tweeted:

  • Resistance 3 patch v1.05 complete details revealed

    Insomniac game has finally revealed complete details regarding the next major patch (patch v1.05) for Resistance 3. This new patch features tons of improvements, fixes and balance tweaks for the game.

    Resistance 3 patch v1.05 also add two more multiplayer maps called as "Creek and The Granery". Both these maps will be available when gamers grab the patch. The patch is currently awaits approval from Sony for release.

    Highlights:

    • Several performance updates to fix network lag
    • Improved team balancing
    • All equipment and abilities are now purchasable at level 60
    • Leaper Corpse will now spawn fewer leapers
    • Improved the Move’s aim mechanic

    Full Resistance 3 Patch 1.05 Notes:

    Deathcam:

    • Update and bug fixes to the deathcam system

    Network

    • Updated Network error messages
    • Several performance updates to fix network lag
    • Improved load times for friends list
    • Refined Hero movement for improved network syncing

    Lobby

    • Fixed issues related to the game host quitting out of a private game
    • The host will no longer lose the ability to start the game after completing a match and returning to the lobby

    Matchmaking

    • Players will no longer be put into a Team deathmatch game while searching for Deathmatch or Deathmatch Small
    • Searching Deathmatch Small with a party of five or more will no longer cause the “Finding Game” screen to loop until the player backs out.
    • Improved team balancing

    UI

    • Cleaned up overlapping text fields in the UI
    • The icon for “Double Bird” is now consistant across all menues
    • Fixes to the HUD while playing in Immersive mode

    Party

    • Party is no longer allowed to create and enter a game with no opposing team
    • The party leader of parties with 3 players will can no longer result in the party leader being put into the staging screen while the rest of the party is disbanded.

    MP Gameplay

    • All equipment and abilities are now purchasable at level 60
    • Players will no longer spawn invisible to other players
    • Suicides award enemies kills if the player is still wounded from their damage
    • Abilities will no longer lose functionality if they activate the ability at the same moment that they dies
    • Split screen players will no longer be on seperate teams
    • Players bodies will no longer hold onto weapons after being killed
    • Change to Chain Reaction final node time

    Abilities

    • Leaper Corpse will now spawn fewer leapers
    • The bubble shield will now disapear when the EMP is used against it.
    • Dash now gives more consistent feedback when the player is unable to use it
    • The players head will no longer vanish when killed while performing a taunt
    • Assassin no longer displays the user as a friendly on the radar for DM games
    • Players will no longer lose berserks and abilities after playing a number of match making games
    • The player will no longer spawn with different genades than what was placed in the primary slot through grenadier

    Weapons

    • The mutators secondary’s will deal damage regardless of the surface to which it is applied
    • Marksman turrets will function properly regardless of the surface to which it is applied
    • Wildfire lock-on disabled in between shots in MP

    Art

    • Misc art, collision and volume fixes

    Loc

    • Localization fixes and updates

    Move

    • Improved the Move’s aim mechanic

    Co-op

    • Several bug and crash fixes
    • Co-op player can now watch videos normally
    • Fixes to progression stopping issues while playing campaign in coop

    3D

    • Fixed the loading screen for 3D
    • Tracker footprints now appear for both eyes

    Campaign

    • Misc fixes to campaign

    Remnant

    • Remnant levels have been corrected
    • Improvements to the UI
  • Resistance 3 patch 1.05 details revealed, features two free maps

    Insomniac Games has revealed the details regarding the upcoming patch v1.05 for PS3 exclusive title "Resistance 3". On their personal Twitter account, developer said that the patch will get completed "by mid-to-late next week", and it will be send to Sony for testing and approval process.

    The developer also details the changes that this upcoming patch v1.05 will feature along with two free maps. Check out the tweaks that will be there in the patch below:

    Chain Reaction:

    • We have lowered the amount of time it take to take the final node (30sec down to 15sec I believe). After playing this it feels much better and doesn't result in stalemates as much.

    Leapers

    • We have reduced the number of leapers by one. ie- Level 1 is 2 leapers now. Level 2 is 2 leapers and 1 spitter.

    Wildfire

    • We have made it so you have to lock on after each shot.
  • Resistance 3 patch 1.04 coming tomorrow, Double XP Weekend begins

    Insomniac Games has announced of their official website that patch 1.04 for Resistance 3 will be released tomorrow in North America and Europe.

    Resistance 3 patch 1.04 will feature minor performance optimizations, updates to the Move/Sharpshooter aiming when aiming down the sights, as well as some matchmaking balance tweaks.

    The developer also announced a double XP WEEKEND. Insomniac said, "we are going to offer DOUBLE XP THIS WEEKEND! Everything will be doubled starting now! You will simply have to close out of the game and go back in to get the updated configs."

  • Resistance 3 patch v1.3 will be live tonight

    Insomniac Games has just shared a new update related to Resistance 3, and this will definitely please all PS3 gamers.

    The developer on their official Facebook Page announced that a new patch 1.3 for Resistance 3 will be released today.

    Resistance 3 gamers will be able download this new patch while connected to PSN. Check out below what Insomniac said:

    "An update on 1.03 – Sony has informed us we have received approval, and we will be deploying today. Details coming as we get into office"

    It has been reported that the update will go live this AFTERNOON.

  • Resistance 3 patch 1.2 goes live

    Insomniac Games has released a new patch v1.02 for the recently launched FPS "Resistance 3". This new patch is now available for download, and it addresses lot of outstanding issues to game's multiplayer.

    The developer also released complete patch, you can check it out below:

    • Players should no longer get into “dead” games that don’t operate correctly
    • Improvement in framerate/lag
    • Matchmaking fixes
    • Fewer players floating / clipping through environment
    • Fix for freezing/crashing issues if you join a game as it is ending
    • Can no longer leave party while in a co-op game (was causing a crash)
    • Party fixes dealing with multiple invites, co-op
    • Some SFX in St. Louis have been cleaned up
    • Broadway map now loads games correctly
    • Fixed issues when late-joining a campaign co-op game
    • Multiple fixed issues on Chapter 13 in co-op
    • Female voice over will now play for female skins in MP
    • Player using Hazmat ability will no longer appear to catch fire or freeze

    A YouTube user "Rajmangaming HD" has posted a first 21 minutes of Insomniac Games PS3 exclusive Resistance 3.

  • Resistance 3 "Day One Patch" weighs 656 MB

    Resistance 3 launch is going to launch pretty soon, and the promised day one patch for the game is also much awaited. Some new details regarding this "Day One" patch for the game has been revealed.

    According to the details revealed, the European version of Resistance 3 Day One patch weighs whooping 656MB. The patch is now available for download for anyone who has an early access to the game (i.e patch is currently available to those who have Resistance 3 review copy provided by the publisher).

  • Resistance 3 singleplayer demo confirmed with Move and 3D

    Didn't get chance to play in the Resistance 3 beta?, don't feel dejected as Insomniac Games has just announced a new Resistance 3 single player demo for fans.

    This taster will have PS Move and 3D Capabilities, which the beta didn't have. The launch date hasn't been confirmed yet, but it will come out soon on PS Store. The demo will be different from Battle: LA version. It will feature a new level.
