Yesterday Team Ninja released new patch 1.03 for PS3 version of Dead or Alive 5 (a massive patch weighing 227MB), and tofay it has been discovered that the patch has some problem.
Team Ninja has stated that an issue with stagger escapes (a.k.a. slow escapes) during Critical has been discovered in the Ver.1.03 patch for PS3, released 1/22? and "this issue prevents users from enjoying the intended design of DOA5."
Furthermore, Team Ninja has stated that patch 1.03 for Xbox 360 version of Dead or Alive 5 has been put on hold (it was originally planned to release on Jan 29). A correct update will be released in February 2013, Team Ninja has assured Dead or Alive 5 gamers, however exact release date was not revealed.
In a recent interview to Gamasutra, Ninja Gaiden III director Yohei Shimbori said that developement team was completely shocked by reaction of fans to Ninja Gaiden III.
Yohei said, "Everybody at the studio was pretty shocked. It really made us take another look at the game and why that reaction was there."
He further added, "One of the things that I learned was the power of having a series behind you, and what it means to be part of a series. There are existing fans out there, and you have to think about the people who have supported the series for so long, and you want to make sure that the game that you make appeals to them first, and satisfies those fans first."

Team Ninja has shared with us first screenshots of playable Ayane in upcoming Wii U game, Ninja Gaiden III: Razor's Edge. The game will feature all the DLC from the original on the disc and many changes are being made to enhance the game.
In Ninja Gaiden III: Razor’s Edge players will be able to Wii U controller to select different weapons, perform Ninpo, view additional game information and more.
From the previous game Decapitation and dismemberment makes a comeback and an optional mode with touchscreen controls similar to that of Dragon Sword will be available.
Team Ninja has made it pretty clear that Dead or Alive 5 will not receive any additional characters as DLC. According to Team Ninja head Yosuke Hayashi, its unfair practice to release additional characters as DLC.
In a recent interview to VideoGamer, Yosuke Hayashi stated, "its unfair" and "does not feel right for fighting games."
Dead or Alive 5 is schedule to launch on September 25. The game marries its signature fighting style with MMA fighting techniques to deliver a major kick for players new and old.
