  • Microsoft says NO to GamesCom 2012 and Tokyo GameShow 2012

Major Nelson has announced that Microsoft will not be attending upcoming gamingf event GamesCom 2012 (schedule to take place in August 2012) and Tokyo Game Show 2012 (schedule to take place in September 2012).

MicrosoftHere is what, Major Nelson said:

"As you saw at E3, we have a solid line-up of games launching this holiday, along with other entertainment experiences. We’ve changed our approach a little, though. This year, Xbox will be focusing on smaller, more localized promotions and experiences for press, partners, retailers and customers around the world. Which means that as you might have seen on some of the news sites today, we won’t be taking part in gamescom or Tokyo Games Show this year."

This confirms that Microsoft doesn't have any major surprise to announce in coming months, and they just want to concentrate on smaller things for time being.
