  • Total War: Shogun 2 DirectX 11 Patch available now

    SEGA and Creative Assembly has released a massive patch update for Total War: Shogun 2. This new patch update for the game weights more than 2GB in size and carries much anticipated DX 11 and AA support.

    However gamers should be warned that Anisotropic Filtering is not working under the DX9 path, and it will be fixed in the next patch update. To download the patch update, all gamers need to do is restart the Steam Client.

  • Total War: Shogun 2 second patch include DirectX 11 support and four new multiplayer maps

    Creative Assembly on Total War official forum has announced that the second patch update for Total War: Shogun 2 is completed, and it will be released on Monday.

    This new update for the game will feature a DirectX 11 support, along with extensive fixes. In addition to these, patch will also include a total of four new multiplayer maps.

    According to the patch notes, DirectX 11 provides “very high quality shadow maps”, “high quality depth of field” and “up close to the camera rocky terrain surfaces are visibly more detailed and realistic”.

  • Craig Laycock: Total War: Shogun 2 DX11 patch will launch in "first week of May"

    Total War: Shogun 2 will get a DX11 patch update in the first week of May, the news was confirmed by community manager Craig Laycock on game's official forum.

    The patch will carry fix for number of issues in the game, modifications to the multiplayer game elements will also be there. Check out what Craig said:

    “We’re planning to roll out some fairly substantial fixes in the coming weeks and months. The first stage of this is Patch 2 which, we’re thrilled to announce, will also upgrade the engine to DirectX 11. This means those of you with DX11-capable cards will be able to access features such as hardware tessellation and enhanced shadowing. Patch 2 will also bring Anti-Aliasing support.”

  • Total War: Shogun 2 demo download available

    SEGA has released the much awaited demo for Total War: Shogun 2, gamers can download the demo via Steam. In the taster gamers will experience Total War's battles and campaign gameplay. Gamers will play through the Chosokabe tutorial campaign which will introduces them to feudal Japanese world of Total War: Shogun 2.

    Fight different types of land warfare with the tutorial battle stages and finally master the historic battle of Sekigahara, keeping in mind that all of this is just a small taste of the full Total War: Shogun 2 experience.

  • Total War: Shogun 2 demo dated, minimum and recommended PC specification also revealed

    SEGA has announced that demo for Total War: Shogun 2 will be available for download on Steam beginning one week from today on February 22. The publisher  learning from their previous mistake of spotty launches now decided to showcase bits and bytes of their games in the form of demo for proving that the game is upto spec.

    In a press release SEGA explained the demo will allow all armchair samurai to test their skills in epic land battles and on Total War: Shogun 2's gorgeous new campaign map.
