  • StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty beta patch 1.35 available now

    "Battle.net" has announced that a new patch v1.35 for StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is now available for download from Public Test Realm.

    This new patch update is a minor one and carries several minor interface changes along with sneak preview of Season 3 ladder maps. The developer has released a complete patch note, you can have a look at it below.

    General

    • A special sneak peek at new ladder maps is now available!
    • Several performance and memory improvements have been made.
    • "Player Left" messages will once again appear in replays.
    • The Hellion's Infernal Pre-Igniter upgrade icon has been updated (now with more blue flames!).

    StarCraft II Editor Improvements

    • UI errors will now go into a newly-created Error Display Message window.
    • Cooldowns shorter than 1/4 of a second no longer display on the command card.

    StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty patch 1.3.0 is now available for download and play on public test realms, this new update for the game bring in lots of changes and fixes including Leagues & Ladders changes and Editor improvements.

    The most important thing about this StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty patch 1.3.0 is that it introduces few controversial gameplay balance changes. We have listed below some of them, check them out:

    • The Protoss received a rather large nerf, as the Khaydarin Amulet upgrade for the High Templar no longer exists, this means that the unit is rendered useless for almost 45 seconds.
    • Terran Battlecruisers have received  speed buff, however build time of bunker and stimpack research have been increased.

  • StarCraft II balance changes Schedule for September

    Blizzard has listed out the balance changes that are in store for their successful game title StarCraft II. The changes that are going to be made in StarCraft II is slated to take effect next month.

    Here is the list of changes that is going to be made in StarCraft II:

    • The largest changes that is going to be made is friendly units will no longer provide vision after being killed, and enemy units previously revealed will no longer be targetable.
    • In addtion the change will also include adding destructible rocks to the Desert Oasis map and in the center map, the watchtower area is being narrowed.
    • The build time for the zealot is also being increased from 33 to 38 seconds, and the warpgate cooldown is being increased from 23 to 28 seconds
    • Many other changes are also in work for terran,  the Siege Mode damage of the siege tank is being changed from 50 to 35 +15 vs. armored, Battlecruisers will have their damage against ground units decrease from 10 to 8; Ultralisk damage is being lowered from 15, +25 vs. armored to 15, +20 vs. armored, and many more
  • Blizzard deleting inappropriate user-made StarCraft II maps

    Blizzard's has said that they will be removing all the inappropriate user made maps from the recent release game title Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty.

    Here is what Blizzard said on its forum while announcing this development for Starcraft II:

    “While players are encouraged to share the maps they create through Battle.net, published maps are subject to review to ensure that they promote a fun and safe environment for all players,” said a Blizzard mod on its forums.

    “If a map is found to contain inappropriate content, it will be removed from Battle.net and the map maker will be contacted via email.”

    When asked to give the reason for this action they said, “Because we can. Literally. We have a support department now of size and ability to enforce these types of things. It simply wasn’t possible when our in-game support used to consist of approximately 20 technical support agents.”

  • 'StarCraft 2' Release Date Confirmed

    Blizzard today announce and confirm today that the much awaited StarCraft: Wings of Liberty will be available from 27th July 2010. The game was announce way back almost three years back and in the time being we have seen many of its gameplay video, massive multiplayer beta and many more.

    StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty will be the first installment in the StarCraft 2 series. So wait eargely and patiently for it release and don't forget to get your hand on to it on 27th July 2010.
