  • First Fable: Heroes screenshots arrived

    Microsoft has released the first screenshot of their recently announced game Fable: Heroes for Xbox Live Arcade. Microsoft revealed the screenshots of official page of Fable: Heroes on official Xbox site.

  • Konami confirms Hard Corps: Uprising release date for Xbox Live

    The popular Run-and-Gun action title from Konami Digital Entertainment, Hard Corps: Uprising has been dated and priced for Xbox LIVE Arcade. Microsoft has chosen this Run-and-Gun Action Side-Scroller to be Part of their Xbox LIVE Arcade House Party Program This Winter.

  • Plants vs Zombies for XBLA this fall

    PopCap Games today announced plans to release Plants vs Zombies for Xbox LIVE Arcade this fall. With an anticipated launch in early September, Plants vs. Zombies on XBLA will deliver more game content than any previous iteration of the franchise, boasting seven game modes, including two all-new multiplayer modes, 12 unique achievements and 21 mini-games. Upon its release, Plants vs. Zombies for XBLA will be available for 1200 Microsoft Points (US$15.00).

    "With a ton of new features and content exclusive to the XBLA version, we have pulled out all the stops to both expand and optimize this adaptation for a hard core gaming audience," said Ed Allard, head of worldwide studios at PopCap."The two new multiplayer modes allow gamers to work cooperatively to defeat hordes of invading zombies, or go head-to-head in a true plants vs. zombies challenge. We’re also featuring a customized house for tracking and sharing progress as well as a total of 21 mini-games and 12 achievements, all designed to enthrall Plants vs. Zombies players once again."

    Plants vs. Zombies for XBLA showcases many standout features, including:

    • A total of seven game modes, including two new multiplayer modes: Co-Op and Vs. Mode

Both are expected to arrive on retail shelves later this fall and carry a suggested retail price of US$19.99 each.

  • The Xbox Live Arcade interface changed - Destination Arcade

    Microsoft has announced via Major Nelson's website, Xbox 360 dashboard updated to be next week. It will include a new menu for Xbox Arcade games,Destination Arcade.

    It is, in the words of Nelson "easy-to-use visual browser ", Which will have many advantages over its predecessor.

    With the new application, users are able to sort games by several new categories, such as price or valuation of the community, keeping track of the release through a news service arcade.

    This new interface will be available in time U.S. from July 14 while not yet have the confirmed date for Europe.


  • RISK: Factions Available Now on Xbox LIVE Arcade

    The EA Play Label of Electronic Arts Inc. today launched RISK: Factions on Xbox LIVE Arcade (XBLA), a digital re-invention of Hasbro’s iconic game of strategy and world domination. Featuring a blend of traditional and new gameplay modes, RISK: Factions takes global conquests to a new level with five-player online multiplayer functionality, setting the stage for the ultimate strategy showdown. RISK: Factions also presents a distinctive art style and offbeat humor such as cat and zombie factions that adds a unique and compelling layer of fun for both the new and veteran RISK fan.

    “RISK: Factions has been designed to offer something for every level of strategy player,” said Chip Lange, General Manager and Senior Vice President of the Hasbro Division at Electronic Arts. “We’ve taken a pop culture favorite and injected doses of innovation and creativity across all aspects of the game to deliver a RISK experience that can only be achieved on a digital gaming platform such as XBLA. From original Classic mode to new Factions mode, and online multiplayer to an assortment of rule-set options, game-changing strategic weapons, quirky factions and eye-grabbing graphics, the quest for world domination just got more extreme and fun.”

    RISK: Factions pits five fanatical factions against one another in an epic battle for global supremacy. Deployed as cats, robots, zombies, yetis or humans, RISK strategists can start by playing through single-player campaign mode to familiarize themselves with the factions and Hasbro’s 2008 RISK rule-set, upon which the video game is based. Alternatively, players can jump directly into the action in one of the game’s three multiplayer modes including: Command Room mode, featuring the fast moving objective-based 2008 rule-set; Classic mode, offering traditional play where players conquer the world by eliminating all other opponents; and World Conquest mode, a mix of Command Room and Classic modes.

    The XBLA game also features online multiplayer capabilities for up to five players and local multiplayer options for up to four players. New maps, unlockable avatar items, bonus “overkill” moments, and strategic weapons also round out RISK: Factions’ inventive twists and turns, all created to test players’ strategic mettle and execution.

    Additional RISK-inspired digital games under development include RISK for the iPhone and iPod touch, both scheduled to launch on the App Store later this summer from EA Mobile.

  • Castlevania: Harmony of Despair Could Go to PSN

    Although recently announcing the launch of a new Castlevania exclusively for Xbox Live Arcade, The truth is that it appears entirely ruled out the occurrence of Harmony of Despair to Playstation Network.

    That is at least as far as that Koji Igarashi, The head of the new title of this popular series of vampire hunter .

    "Right now I'm focusing on Xbox Live Arcade," Igarashi said while speaking to Destructoid at E3 last week. "But there might be a possibility with that. I hope this one sells, and then we can think about PSN."

  • Blade Kitten for Xbox LIVE Arcade, Playstation Network and Windows PC Download

    Atari, Inc. announced today that they have acquired the rights to publish Blade Kitten, the video game based on the comic book series by creator Steve Stamatiadis. Developer Krome Studios brings bounty hunter Kit Ballard to digital life with Blade Kitten which Atari will release this September for Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360, PlayStation Network, and Windows PC Download at

    Blade Kitten marks the latest creation by Mr. Stamatiadis, who is also the force behind the multi-million selling TY the Tasmanian Tiger series. In Blade Kitten, a prequel to the comics set three years prior, players are invited into the world of Hollow Wish where they take on the role of Kit Ballard, one of the best bounty hunters in the business.  With her pink hair and tail, Kit is part cat, part girl - and fully lethal.  As one of the last of her species, Kit commands her unique “Darque Blade” hovering sword to defeat enemies.  Also along for the ride is Skiffy, Kit’s laid-back sidekick who lends a hand in collecting items, solving puzzles, and when needed, serves as Kit’s protector.

    Bethesda Softworks today announced that DOOM II is now available for the Xbox 360 on Xbox Live Arcade.
