Just a few moments ago, Take-Two held its financial conference call for the fiscal quarter which ended on December 31. They also provided a glimpse of their line-up and what to expect from them for the next fiscal year and beyond. Firstly, Take-Two confirmed new installment in NBA and WWE 2K series (not a surprise in any way as both these franchise follows yearly release model).
Take-Two further added that ground breaking new intellectual properties are currently in development, new releases from their proven franchise, and 2K/Gearbox Software duo coming back to develop Borderlands 3 specifically for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Here are the exact quotes of Take-Two from its financial conference call:
“Users can expect new annual releases from our NBA and WWE 2K series, as well as exciting, yet to be announced titles from other popular franchises.
Looking further ahead, we have a robust pipeline of titles in development, including ground breaking new intellectual properties, and new releases from our proven franchises. For example, we can confirm that 2K and Gearbox software will develop an all new Borderlands game built specifically for next-gen consoles.
In addition, we have numerous unannounced titles in development, as well as innovative offerings designed to maximize player engagement and drive recurring consumer spending.
We have more to announce about our future line-up in the coming months.”
What exactly this “new releases from our proven franchises” mean? I’m quite sure i’m not the only one who will be placing their bet on the next installment in “Red Dead Redemption” franchise, Red Dead Redemption 2. Tell us in the comment section below what do you guys think.
