During a recent interview with an Israelian newspaper, writer Neil Druckmann has provided new tips and tidbits about what we should be expecting from The Last of Us: Part II storyline. The game is among the most anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusives ever, so every little thing it does is magic and each detail slipping out from it is pure gold.

The Last of Us Part II Ending Discussed

Druckmann reiterated that The Last of Us: Part II story is going to be a story about a “cycle of violence and hatred,” opposite to love and hope, which were the feelings coming out of the original The Last of Us script. In the original game, you should remember, Joel lost her child and then met, in a world on fire, Ellie, who gave him a new reason to live.

Talking about The Last of Us: Part II ending, the writer said he doesn’t feel like the game needs “a happy ending” this time around, after the original featured one. It just feels natural now that the story could be coming with some tough decision, which were in the first The Last of Us game too, resulting in something disappointing and sad for fans.

The Last of Us: Part II was announced last December during PlayStation Experience, and is coming soon for PS4.
