With Nintendo Switch’s release approaching, we also have another big Nintendo launch ahead — it’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which is also dropping on March 3, and for Wii U as well. Details increase in number and interest as we get closer to the day one, and today we have an interesting look at the control scheme of the Switch version.
From a recent demonstration/hands-on held at the worldwide Nintendo Switch experience tour, we can see that button prompts and commands have already been set in stone. Coming specifically to the Switch build, we can see from the image below all the buttons we’ll be pushing on both the new pro controller and the tablet.
We can also see that the Sheikah Slate, presumably giving us access to the map and other UI elements, is set to be activated through the Select/Back button, which is set near the Start button on the pro controller and on the left on the tablet. The latter doesn’t look too comfortable, but we’ve yet to play the Switch version of the game so we’re not judging from a single pic.
