Do you remember when CD Projekt RED recently said it would be introducing a new game at E3 2016, and that new game isn’t Cyberpunk 2077? We might have just discovered what that game could be, and it looks like The Witcher fans will literally love.
The Polish studio has registered the Gwent: The Witcher Card Game trademark at the European Union patent office two days ago, meaning that an announcement involving the very popular The Witcher 3 card game, Gwent indeed, might finally have its own standalone title.
This surely doesn’t come unexpected, since The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt sold about 10 million copies and was the biggest success in the history of The Witcher franchise, and many of those players got truly addicted to the Gwent card game included in the title.
Apart from Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt RED has always said it has two more unannounced projects. One could really be this Gwent: The Witcher Card Game? We’ll see.
