The Witcher 3 Patch 1.07 Hidden Changes: Igni is Nerfed, Changes To Enhanced Gears, DualShock 4 Support on PC Port

Recently, CD Projekt Red released the much awaited patch 1.07 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on all platforms. This new update was a massive one and brought it over 100 fixes, additions and improvements, as per the details revealed in the official changelog from CDPR. However, according to report coming out from popular gaming forum, NeoGAF, not all changes were covered in The Witcher 3 patch 1.07 changelog, there were some hidden changes/improvements that were unannounced.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

According to report coming out from NeoGAF, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt patch 1.07 carries changes for Enhanced Witcher gear sets. The Enhanced Ursine armor set now requires Geralt to be at level 25, previously the requirement for it was level 22.

Weird. Did they change the level requirement for the Enhanced Ursine armor? It used to be 22 (which I am) to 25. Went to the barber got a haircut and afterwards my armor was unequipped”: said NeoGaf user Airgetlam

Also, Enhanced Feline Witcher gear now needs level 23 character for both swords and armor, but before patch 1.07, only level 19 was required. These are just the two changes for Enhanced Witcher Gear discovered so far, reports are still incoming about changes to other Enhanced Witcher gear.

Just a heads-up for all my fellow witchers! After installing 1.07, enhanced feline witcher gear now requires a level 23 character for both swords and armor versus a level 19 character for swords and a level 20 for armor. I’m currently level 20 and had the enhanced feline witcher gear equipped before installing the patch, so now if I remove my gear, I can no longer equip it until level 23. I’ve only seen this with the feline gear, but I’m assuming all of the witcher gear now has higher level requirements (perhaps matching the treasure hunt quests), said Neogaf user Coreda

Other Hidden Changes of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Patch 1.07 are listed below:

Igni is Nerfed:

  • You can’t stun lock enemies anymore. The burning time is very short now. And the burning damage doesn’t seem to be as great as before.
  • You don’t need to press the jump button at the moment you land after jumping from higher places to avoid damage anymore. It’s done automatically.
  • DualShock 4 support on PC version.
