CD Projekt Red recently released Patch 1.50 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt PlayStation 4 Pro version. The update added 4K resolution support. Many players were happy with the improvement Patch 1.50 brought to The Witcher 3 on PlayStation 4 Pro, however, a handful of players were unhappy with it because of the crashing issue that they started to experience after installing the update. After keeping quiet for few days, CD Projet Red finally broke their silence and stated that the development team was aware of the Crash Issue Post Patch 1.50 on PlayStation 4 Pro and a fix for it will be released soon.
The confirmation of a new update being in development came as a big relief to the PS4 Pro owners suffering from the crash issue because the earlier message from CD Projekt Red suggested that the development team is not going to release any more update for The Witcher 3.
Speaking to our friend at Eurogame via Email, CD Projekt Red accepted the miscommunication – “This response was simply a miscommunication on our end” and then added: “We are aware of the issues some users have been experiencing following the PS4 Pro Patch and we are looking into addressing those as soon as possible.”
It’s good to see CD Projekt Red still supporting The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but there are clear hints from the development team that is going to be the last and final update for the game from them.
