Konami has just issued a warning to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain players about a “Bug Corrupting Saves” on all platforms (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PS3). The publisher announced that this bug occurs when players bring Quiet along with them during Missions 29 and Mission 42.
The fix for this nasty issue is in development and will be released as soon as the work is complete. This is how Konami describes the bug:
“In MGS V: The Phantom Pain, there is a possibility that save data may get corrupted and becomes unusable if having Quiet as a buddy while playing “Mission 29” or “Mission 42”.
In order to avoid the bug, this is what Konami wants you to do:
“This situation can be avoided by not using Quiet as a buddy while playing either Mission 29 or Mission 42”
Take this PSA from Konami seriously and avoid experiencing this nasty Save Bug. There is also a Save Deleting Bug in MGS V: The Phantom Pain that is just affecting PC, read details about it: Save Deleting Glitch Discovered By Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain PC User
