Total War: Rome II gets spooky Evil Spirits as Halloween Update for PC

The successor to the 2004 game Rome: Total War, Total War: Rome II, by The Creative Assembly and published by Sega, is getting a new update to celebrate the spirit of Halloween. The festival of Lemuria will appear in this game along with a new seasonal challenge, the Nightmare Mode. Any generals skilled enough to complete a Campaign battle in Nightmare Mode will earn a new Steam achievement and the adoration of their peers.

Total War: Rome II

For those who are unaware, Lemuria was an ancient feast during which restless spirits were exorcized from the home with the alternate offering of beans and then clashing of cooking pots.

Total War: Rome II’s Nightmare Mode is one of the creepiest mode available, it will cause your troops to suffer horrifying visions in battle. Harpies descend from the skies as a terrifying atmosphere envelopes your forces. This may cause a panic situation among your soldiers creating challenges for you.
