At recently concluded Build 2014 event, Microsoft’s Frank Savage hinted possibility of Xbox 360 emulator for Xbox One. At a presentation session titled as “Understanding the Xbox One Game Platform Built on Windows” Frank took some Q&A from the attendees and the very first question was about Xbox 360 emulator for Xbox One.
Frank was asked whether there’s any play for an emulator for Xbox 360 games? And the reply that came from Frank will definitely please the Xbox community.
“There are” replied Frank. “But we aren’t done thinking them through yet unfortunately. It turns out to be hard to emulate the PowerPC stuff on the x86 stuff. So there’s nothing to announce, but I’d love to see it myself too.”
There you have it folks, development team at Microsoft is indeed working on a some sorts of emulator so that fans can enjoy some or most of their Xbox 360 games on Xbox One. However no details yet on how soon we will have it.
