Xbox One X – the new Xbox console from Microsoft released worldwide on November 7 for $499. It comes with a 4K Blu-Ray Player – a pretty good deal considering the fact that a standalone 4K Blu Ray player right now in the market starts with at a cost that is not as competitive as the price tag of Xbox One X. However, some early buyers of Xbox One X report that the performance of Blu-Ray Player in Xbox One X is not up to the mark when it comes to playing high dynamic range images into HDR capable Television.
According to the reports, there is Raised Black Levels with HDR movies, etc. Thankfully, the development team at Team Xbox is aware of the issue and have started working on the fix which is going to be released very soon. Xbox’s Mike Ybarra confirmed the details about the upcoming update via Twitter. He stated that in coming few days – Xbox One X owners will receive an update which will carry fix for Blu-Ray’s raised black levels issue.
“Xbox One X users – Blu-Ray specific fixes coming very soon to correct raised black levels w/HDR movies, etc. A few days away. #Xbox”
