Strategy Analytics’ Michael Goodman has provided a new comment about Project Scorpio, which he’s curious to learn more about since, according to him, this is the first time where Microsoft has the most powerful console on the market. Anyway, this power will require quite some time in order to be fully expressed, based on what he learnt.
“It is the third or fourth generation titles that really should be able to show the difference. My expectation is that the launch titles on Scorpio aren’t going to be that much more amazing than what you can find elsewhere. It is going to be a year or two down the road when you should start to see the true capability of the platform,” Goodman told We Write Things.
Of course, all platforms need some time in order to fully express their potential, and one-two years looks quite a good timing when it comes to Project Scorpio. Anyway, with PS4 Pro already on the market since last November and possibly having its price reduced by the time Scorpio releases, it could be too late.
