Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra has just confirmed one of the most interesting features for Xbox Scorpio. If you ask Xbox fans across the globe what is that one interesting and most loved feature of Xbox One? most of them will answer “Backward Compatibility with Xbox 360”. Are you aware of the fact that the upcoming Xbox console codenamed as Xbox Scorpio will also support backward compatibility with Xbox 360?
The confirmation came from Microsoft’s Director of Program Management for Xbox Mike Ybarra via a Twitter conversation with a fan. The user asked Ybarra about whether Xbox fans would be able to play Red Dead Redemption Xbox 360 version of Xbox Scorpio? and to this Ybarra replied: “360 backward compatibility will, of course, work on Xbox Scorpio.”
This is a great move by Microsoft, not altering the feature that has been loved by millions of Xbox fans across the globe. One of the main reason behind Xbox One making a comeback to the limelight after the disastrous launch is its ability to play Xbox 360 games via backward compatibility feature.
