Xenoblade Chronicles 2 may be releasing tomorrow for Nintendo Switch, but there’s another game in the Xenoblade series fans are eyeing right now.
Thanks to an interview with developer Monolith Soft’s Tetsuya Takashi, 4Gamer has confirmed that the president of the company is indeed interested in a Switch version of its Wii U predecessor.
When asked if there may be a chance Xenoblade Chronicles X could appear on “other hardware,” Takahashi answered that there are “times” he feels like playing Xenoblade Chronicles X and thinks about “how nice it would be to play it on the Nintendo Switch.”
“Of course that will depend on demand and such,” he said. “But I will think about it while discussing future plans with Nintendo.
Xenoblade Chronicles X was originally released for Wii U back in Dec. 2015. Xenoblade Chronicles came out on the original Wii, but saw a re-release on New Nintendo 3DS in the same year in April. While a 3DS release would be an interesting turn of events, fans no doubt would much rather see the Wii U game come to the Switch, for sure.
