Xur has returned for another weekend of astute salesmanship in Destiny 2, and he’s brought some really good armor this time around, along with a weapon.
Where is Xur?
Xur is on Earth’s EDZ in the Winding Cove area. He’s standing on top of a tall cliff next to a crashed Fallen skiff. Climb up to him using the rocks on the right side of the area.
Xur’s weapon this week is Graviton Lance, an Exotic pulse rifle. This gun has a truly beautiful design in both visuals and sound, and it can be pretty fun to use. It shoots three round bursts, with the third shot in every burst doing extra damage, and kills with this weapon cause enemies to detonate in an explosion of Void energy. It’s being sold for 29 Legendary shards.
This week’s Warlock armor is Nezarec’s Sin, a helmet for the Voidwalker subclass. The helm’s unique perk is “Abyssal Extractors,” which makes Void damage kills increase your ability recharge rate. It works incredible in tandem with the Devour ability. It’s on sale for 23 Legendary shards.
The Titan armor this week is Mask of the Quiet one, a helmet that works well with any subclass but excels with Sentinel. “Dreaded Visage” is its perk which grants melee, grenade, and class ability energy whenever you take damage. Plus, Void ability kills grant health regeneration. It’s being sold for 23 Legendary shards.
Finally, Hunters can purchase Young Ahamkara’s Spine, gauntlets that make a return from Destiny 1. Their main perk is “Wish-Dragon Teeth,” which increases the duration of your Tripmine grenade and marks enemies damaged by the blast. It costs 23 Legendary shards.
Both helmets are definitely worth picking up, but the gauntlets can be passed on as Tripmines are not nearly as exciting or powerful as they were in Destiny 1. Graviton Lance is also cool, but not a game-changing weapon by any means.
