With all of the updates to Destiny 2 in the past few weeks, one of the few facets of the game not undergo changes has been Xur, the mysterious traveling salesman.
That changes today, as Xur has showed up in a new location with brand new items for sale, as part of some of the game’s quality of life changes.
Where is Xur?
For the first time in Destiny 2, Xur is in the Tower. He’s in the hangar area, behind the Dead Orbit vendor, all the way in the back of the Tower.
The first of Xur’s two new items is a Fated Engram, which is on sale for 97 Legendary Shards. Buying one of these engrams guarantees you an Exotic item that you do not own, in an effort to prevent duplicates.
The second item is Three of Coins, which is a buff which increases the drop rate of Exotics in a number of activities. This is slightly altered from the version of the item in Destiny 1, and it costs 31 Legendary Shards.
As for his usual wares, Xur’s weapon this week is D.A.R.C.I., an Exotic sniper rifle. This weapon has an enhanced scope that shows such information as a target’s health and shields, and its distance from you. It’s on sale for 29 Legendary Shards.
The Hunter armor this weekend is Celestial Nighthawk, a powerful Exotic helmet for the Gunslinger class. Equipping this helm will limit your Golden Gun super to one shot, but it does massive damage, and is extremely useful in PvE. It costs 23 Legendary Shards.
This week’s Titan armor is Hallowfire Heart, a chest piece. This flaming armor improves the recharge rate of your abilities when Hammer of Sol is charged, meaning that your grenade, melee, and Barricade abilities will charge fast when your Super is waiting. It costs 23 Legendary Shards.
Finally, the Warlock armor is Eye of Another World, and it’s one of the most useful Warlock helmets in the game. This helmet will highlight weak targets for you and also increase the regeneration of all your abilities. It’s on sale for 23 Legendary Shards.
