• Plants vs Zombies for XBLA this fall

    PopCap Games today announced plans to release Plants vs Zombies for Xbox LIVE Arcade this fall. With an anticipated launch in early September, Plants vs. Zombies on XBLA will deliver more game content than any previous iteration of the franchise, boasting seven game modes, including two all-new multiplayer modes, 12 unique achievements and 21 mini-games. Upon its release, Plants vs. Zombies for XBLA will be available for 1200 Microsoft Points (US$15.00).

    "With a ton of new features and content exclusive to the XBLA version, we have pulled out all the stops to both expand and optimize this adaptation for a hard core gaming audience," said Ed Allard, head of worldwide studios at PopCap."The two new multiplayer modes allow gamers to work cooperatively to defeat hordes of invading zombies, or go head-to-head in a true plants vs. zombies challenge. We’re also featuring a customized house for tracking and sharing progress as well as a total of 21 mini-games and 12 achievements, all designed to enthrall Plants vs. Zombies players once again."

    Plants vs. Zombies for XBLA showcases many standout features, including:

    • A total of seven game modes, including two new multiplayer modes: Co-Op and Vs. Mode
    • 12 achievements and 21 mini-games– more than any other adaptation, and including the exclusive Heavy Weapon  -inspired mini-game
    • A goofy new way to track and share progress online, where players create their own custom house and cruise down the street to see their friends cribs!
    • The highest resolution of any Plants vs. Zombies adaptation to date at 1920 x 1080
    • All 50 levels of the original Adventure mode along with Puzzle, Survival, and Zen Garden

    Later this year, PopCap will also release a retail boxed edition of Plants vs. Zombies (including full versions of Zuma and Peggle as well) for the Xbox 360 as well as a new“Game of The Year boxed edition of the PC/Mac original, a limited number of which will include a zombie figurine. Both are expected to arrive on retail shelves later this fall and carry a suggested retail price of US$19.99 each.

  • Commander: Conquest available for Pre-Order

    Paradox Interactive announced today that development on its upcoming naval strategy title, Commander: Conquest of the Americas, has completed and the pre-order has started on leading digital distribution outlets. As an exclusive bonus, pre-orders for the game will receive three extra ships, three new resources, seven new historical Commanders (one for each nation) and three new historical naval battles.

    Developed by Nitro Games, Commander: Conquest of the Americas features elements from both trading and strategy games. Choosing from 7 different European factions, take charge of a European power aiming to conquer the New World. Found new colonies and manage their resources, production, military, and much more as they develop into a full blown empire. Choose to command ships in RTS fashion or take direct control as your fleet engages ships of an enemy nation or blood thirsty pirates.

    Commander: Conquest of the Americas will be available for purchase through retail stores on July 30, 2010 and is now available as pre-order via digital distribution channels.

    As few more days remaining for the highly anticipated launch of Starcraft 2, this new title continues to talk about.

    Nothing more and nothing less than the well-known American newspaper Wall Street Journal has estimated the cost of Starcraft 2 game development, which has been 100 million dollars.

    If this calculation is really true, this places Starcraft 2 among the most expensive video game of all time, well above most blockbusters of the year.

  • Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light a Four-Week Xbox 360 Exclusive

    Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is the downloadable game created by Crystal Dynamics, inspired by the Saga Tomb Raider.

    Although not a Tomb Raider starring will use the famous archaeologist and Microsoft confirmed that will be exclusive to Xbox 360 for four weeks.

    At E3 2010 Microsoft reveal Kinect for Xbox 360 which give gamers a controller free gameplay experience. But Emotiv has reveal a latest technology that interpret brain waves for controlling the video games and other onscreen action. The company shows off this new latest technology at TED Global (Technology Entertainment and Design) conference in Oxford.

    Emotiv Epoc consist of a total of 14 sensors which has the capability of reading the electrical signals from brain cells, which in return communicate to the PC wirelessly.

    The headset was already released in 2009 but it was used by Universities and researchers for other purpose like application building rather than using it for playing games.     Cyanide Studio way back in 2009 announced that they have bought the rights to George R. R. Martin novel A Song of Ice and Fire to develop it into a video game. Now today they reveal the strategy game title based on the novel called A Game of Thrones: Genesis'.

    Apart from this no other details were given not, not even the platform on which the game is going to be release. However looking at the Cyanide past record a PC version of the game is expected.
