It was hinted at in the E3 2018 trailer, but now it's official: Sumo Digital is the sole developer working on Crackdown 3, which means that series' creator Dave Jones and his studio Reagent Games are no longer involved.
Microsoft has confirmed that Crackdown 3 won't be released, as rumored during the last few hours, in time for 2018. The game was originally planned for a Spring 2018 launch, while it's now slated for 2019.
A multiple credible insiders report that Microsoft has delayed Crackdown 3 to 2019. The release date was moved forward as there was a severe development struggle but Microsoft has provided an extra development time for the team to avoid yet another disaster like Scalebound, Phantom Dust Remake and Fable Legends.
