  • Killzone: Shadow Fall Launch Reviews Were "Disappointing And Surprising" Says Guerilla Games

Sony touted Killzone: Shadow Fall as the killer app for Playstation 4 launch, but it was not well received by critics and fans across the globe and apart from graphics/visual none of the game's feature receive compliment.

Killzone: Shadow FallIn a recent interview with AusGamer, Guerilla Games' Eric Boljes was asked to comment on launch reviews of Killzone: Shadow Fall, and to this he reply: "It was Disappointing And Surprising" for Guerilla Games as Killzone: Shadow Fall was the best Killzone they have made.

"Well to be honest, when the reviews first came in, we were a little bit disappointed," Boljes confessed. "Because I personally feel that this is the best Killzone we’ve ever made; I honestly feel that. You’re right, we did try a lot of new things, we tried to innovate the gameplay, and we did try to make a different Killzone than before."

"and the reviews, they are mixed… we’re doing something different, and it’s really interesting in that a lot of people are saying we’re not different enough, and [what] the other side is saying is “what they’re doing is too different from the original Killzone”. It’s interesting, but I’m still really proud of what we’ve made."

"We’re a launch title, and it’s the first time ever that Guerilla has done that. It’s a new direction, new core features; we’ve got a 12 hour campaign, we’ve got a fully-loaded multiplayer experience, all on day one on the new platform. I think overall we’re really happy with that we’ve done, and I hope that people [who] play the game see that and can enjoy the experience that we created."
