  • 8 Games You Shouldn't Expect to Release in 2013

But wait guys don't be in too much hurry, we are here to spoil your party and your future planning process related to video-games. So without much ado, here is list of 10 Games That Won't Arrive in 2013.

    The Last Guardian

The Last Guardian was officially announced at E3 2009, and was originally planned to release in late 2011 worldwide (release date announcement was made at TGS 2010). However On April 20, 2011, the release window was pushed back to 2012 due to some unknown reason.

    The Last Guardian

This delay didn't stop just here and things went bad to worst for The Last Guardian, as Ueda's departure as a full-time employee of Sony though remaining as a consultant on the game, left the release date in question.

R.Y.S.E (previously known as Codename Kingdoms) was announced during Microsoft Press Conference at E3 2011 among other Xbox 360-exclusive titles. The announcement entailed a per-rendered trailer with minor gameplay footage.

In June 2012, Phil Spencer, corporate VP of Microsoft Studios, maintained that the game was still in development. When asked whether it was still a Kinect game, Spencer replied "Kinect will be part of the game, absolutely" leading to speculation that it was no longer a Kinect-only game, and was instead part of the "Better with Kinect" series of Xbox 360 games.

Two years down from the announcement and still no updates on release date yet neither from Crytek nor from Microsoft, and it looks like this won't change for couple of more years.

    Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes

Things are also looking slim and grim for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, as Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is schedule to launch next month, and its highly unlikely that Konami will release two new Metal Gear game in same year. And also when we take into consideration a bit of Konami history, Metal Gear Solid 4 was announced way back in 2005, but was released in 2008.

    Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes was announced in September 2012 at a private function celebrating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Metal Gear series, and made its public debut two days later at the 2012 Penny Arcade Expo. The game will be powered by Fox game engine developed by Kojima Productions.

    Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Patriots

The official announcement of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Patriots was made via Game Informer followed by a trailer at VGA 2011. It was schedule to release at some-point in 2013. However we haven't heard anything about the game since its announcement, which lead to a rumor that it has been cancelled.

    Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Patriots

But finally Ubisoft came out in open stated Rainbow 6: Patriots is still in development but may get pushed back to next-generation consoles.

With no showing at E3 2012 and only a handful of information available about the game, we are left with no reason to expect the game in 2013.

Way back in 2007, Sony proudly announced that Rockstar Games (team behind Max Payne and GTA series) were developing AGENT exclusively for PS3. And now FIVE years down the line, this is the only details we know. In 2011, Take-Two Interactive confirmed that AGENT is still in development, but they have no more details yet to share.

    Final Fantasy Versus XIII

Final Fantasy XIII has been awarded a title of "Duke Nukem Forever of this Generation" by fans of the franchise. The game has been in development since 2005, but it is yet to see saw the light of day. Meanwhile during this entire time period, Square Enix has already develops an entire FFXIII trilogy.

Rumors are already spawning on internet that Final Fantasy XIII has been cancelled, but  Square Enix president Yoichi Wada has promised that we’ll get some details in 2013.

The first references to the "Destiny" project were shown in Bungie's 20th Anniversary Documentary, O Brave New World, when it was known by its original working title, "Tiger". Bungie co-founder Jason Jones noted that the name "Tiger" was chosen because the studio found that it was engaging audiences in a way that the developers had never experimented with previously, but the working title was later changed to "Destiny".

    Bungie's Destiny

The first public details of the "Destiny" project were leaked in November 2012, revealing concept art and plot details. Bungie supplemented the leak with the release of further concept art, whilst expressing regret that details of an upcoming video game had once again been revealed before their planned released.

We still have no major details about Bungie's Destiny, and as a result of this we may not see this mysterious game in 2013.

    Prey 2

On March 23, 2012, a Dutch gaming website named PS Focus reported a rumour that Prey 2 has been cancelled by Zenimax. When asked, Bethesda Softworks reported with no comment regarding the rumour on their Twitter page.

    Prey 2

On April 19, 2012, Bethesda stated Prey 2 will not be cancelled, but instead it will not make its scheduled 2012 release. This was because "the game's development has not progressed satisfactorily this past year and the game does not currently meet [their] quality standards.".

On August 20, 2012 the game was removed from the products page on Bethesda's website. A spokesperson from Bethesda informed Eurogamer that until they're ready to talk about the game more, the focus on the site is on their upcoming titles.
