PC players are gearing up for the release of Command and Conquer Remastered. The HD collection of Command and Conquer, Red Alert, and their expansions launch on June 5, and PlayStation 4 fans are wondering if they'll get their hands on it too. If you're one of that number, allow us to help. We can provide details on when a PS4 port of Command and Conquer Remastered is available, so let's dive in. Will there be a PS4 port of Command and Conquer Remastered? Image via ea.com The Command and Conquer series has appeared on PlayStation consoles across different generations. The original game was released on PlayStation back in September 1995, and other titles such as Red Alert, are available on PS3 and PS4 today. As for a PS4 port of Command and Conquer Remastered, we have bad news. There are no current plans for it to be brought to Sony's home console. Publisher Electronic Arts and developer Petroglyph are only bringing the collection to PC via Steam and EA's Origin platform. It sucks, but that's the lay of the land at the moment. That isn't to say that a PS4 port won't come in the future. You can link your EA account to your PS4 one, and EA Acces, Electronic Arts' subscription-based service, is also available on PS4 for a monthly or yearly fee. EA could conceivably bring Command and Conquer Remastered to EA Access down the line, and make it available for PS4 users to play. With the PS5 expected to launch later this year, Command and Conquer Remastered could be held back for its release too. Whether that's as a physical version or a digital port only, we may see it on consoles once the next generation is out in the wild. For now, though, Command and Conquer Remastered is only playable on PC.
