There are hundreds of unique Pok\u00e9mon for trainers to find and capture throughout the world of Pok\u00e9mon Go. \n\n\n\nPok\u00e9mon like Pidgey and Taillow are common and can be found with ease while creatures such as Charmander and Totodile are harder to find, but not impossible to catch. A particular Pok\u00e9mon trainers are finding it difficult to capture is Ditto, the Pok\u00e9mon capable of transforming into others, and stealing their attacks.\n\n\n\nDitto does not appear on the world map in-game because it is always disguising itself as one of many Pok\u00e9mon out in the wild. This mechanic makes it impossible to tell if the creature you are trying to capture is that Pok\u00e9mon, or a Ditto in disguise.\n\n\n\nThe only way to capture a Ditto is to regularly hunt some of\u00a0Pok\u00e9mon Go's\u00a0most common Pok\u00e9mon. Hopefully, they transform into Ditto following a successful capture. You won't know it's a Ditto until you obtain them, and then when you move to the success screen, you receive an "Oh?" message, and the captured Pok\u00e9mon turns out to be a Ditto.\n\n\n\nYou need to keep on your toes to capture a Ditto. Some of the above Pok\u00e9mon will change, making Ditto even more elusive than it already is for trainers eager to acquire them. If you keep up with the updates and narrow down your search radius, along with using incense, lures, and lucky eggs, you can increase your chances.
