When playing Risk of Rain 2, you may have noticed a chest you cannot open on Rallypoint Delta. It doesn’t want your gold. Instead, it demands punctuality! You need to get here before the timer runs out to open this chest.
How To Open the Timed Security Chest on Rallypoint Delta
In single-player mode, you have 10 minutes to make it to the chest, while in multiplayer you have 15 minutes. To get this one done, I recommend just committing to it as the main goal of your run and ignoring everything else.
When you load up your game, make sure you set it to the Easy difficulty. There is no reward for suffering on this one; it is all about time. When you load into the first area, get to the teleporter as fast as possible, and instantly start it up. Beat the boss, which should be pretty weak. Fully charge the teleporter, and immediately use it.
Repeat this process for the second area, once again not letting yourself be distracted by anything except finding the teleporter. Kill the boss, charge the teleporter fully, then move on to the third area. This is the one we want.
The chest can spawn in a number of places and seems to be affected by good old RNG. For me, it is often at the foot of a large antenna array, at the top of the long, winding cave that you normally spawn in at. It should be very easy to spot, as the cliff face it is at the top of overlooks the entire stage. Just look around until you spot the antenna, then make your way to the top. Be fast! The timer is still counting down, and you have until the 10 or 15-minute mark to open it, depending on the mode you are playing.
The rest of the Gamepur crew have had it spawn in other areas, however. Here is a little list of potential spawn sites that we have seen.
- At the foot of the antenna on top of the cliff.
- At the bottom of that same cliff, close to the fence.
- In a cargo container that can spawn near the center of the map.
This one isn’t so hard but might take you a run or two depending on how long it takes to find the Teleporter in the first two levels.
