The Best Deals in the Epic Games Store Mega Sale
Today, Epic Games launched the very first Epic Mega Sale, its answer to the always-anticipated Steam Summer Sale. While some of Steam’s seasonal discounts have been a little underwhelming lately, the Epic Mega Sale offers some prices that are frankly a little shocking. On top of a $10 discount on anything over $15, there are tons of games, including popular new ones, up to 75% off.
We’ve picked some of our favorite deals below.
Hades - $6.99: This one may be the star of the show. Supergiant Games’ action roguelike recently entered Early Access and has had a constant stream of updates since then. It’s had extremely positive reviews so far and only seems to be getting better with time.
John Wick Hex - $7.99: A game based on probably the best action movie franchise running, created by the brilliant developer of indie hits like Thomas Was Alone and Subsurface Circular, and it’s only eight bucks? There’s pretty much no reason not to pre-order it at this point.
Metro Exodus - $34.99: The recently released third game in the Metro franchise had somewhat mixed reviews, but it’s still a solid shooter set in an interesting world with style all of its own.
Ashen - $19.99: Ashen may look a bit like a Dark Souls clone, but it’s full of original ideas, like a hidden drop-in, drop-out multiplayer system and a town that you rebuild from the ashes as you play. That’s on top of a great combat system and a unique, eye-catching art style.
The Walking Dead: The Final Season - $4.99: The end of Telltale’s The Walking Dead series was clouded by the closure of the studio and the layoff of lots of developers, but it’s still worth seeing the conclusion of this long-running story.
