The job of a police officer in Astral Chain goes beyond beating the tar out of enemies. You’re expected to go out of your way to clean up the city, and in doing so, you’re likely going to encounter salvage, a junk item that’s going to take up space in your inventory. Here’s what you can do with salvage, and how you can get it for those looking to acquire the basic item.

How to Get and Use Salvage in Astral Chain

What Does it Do?

For the most part, you’re going to want to use salvage to acquire currency, G. You’re going to need it throughout the entire game, so getting salvage is an excellent thing for you to do. Because you’re going to find it almost anywhere, you’re going to grab a lot of it. As such, you want to make sure you know what to do when you have it. You need to take it to a merchant located anywhere in the game. None of the vendors in the game are going to turn you down. Go on over to the “sell” tab, and choose “salvage” when speaking to a shopkeeper. You’re going to see the various items listed underneath salvage that you can sell to the vendor.

Where Is It?

Locating salvage is extremely easy. You’re going to encounter it throughout your time in the game. For those who are looking to grab more of it, try destroying some pieces of the environment in the File you’re playing in, or start exploring a bit more. You might miss some if you’re going too quickly through a File.

The only item that goes under “salvage” you don’t want to sell is cat food. Cat food is a required item to feed your cats, or to use to persuade a stray one to come home with you. As such, you’re not going to want to part with the item, despite it going being in the junk section of your inventory.

Beyond cat food, make sure to give away everything else.
