Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Does Assassin’s Creed Valhalla have romance options?

Love at first fight.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

The next chapter of the Assassin’s Creed saga will be Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. For this outing, we will be playing as Vikings, heading for ancient Britain as we attempt to find a new life. There will no doubt be plenty of fighting, messing up the plans of Templars, and some sneaking, but there will also be plenty of other activities to get up to.

One of the things you will get up to is romancing various people around you. The lead programmer on Valhalla, Julien Laferrière, confirmed that romance would be returning to the game. It won’t be a shallow system either. The potential for romance will be tied into many of the game’s systems. Growing your settlement and becoming more powerful will open up new diplomatic and political options.

This, in turn, will allow you to forge a relationship with the towns and villages around you. It sounds like there will be a lot of scheming in the game, so we may even be able to take part in a marriage of convenience, for political reasons only.

Over the coming months, as we get closer to the game’s release at the end of the year, we will hopefully learn more about romance options in the game. For now, all we can say is that they are returning, and seem to be quite complicated and interesting.

When we are not flinging woo at people, we will be able to lead raids against settlements, taking on Saxon troops and castles all over England. You can launch these from your ships after you sail into new territory to seek riches and power. You will even be able to grow and manage your settlement, upgrading buildings such as barracks, a blacksmith, and a tattoo parlor, vitally important for any self-respecting Viking town.

It would seem that Valhalla will have plenty to offer people, and you can make a beautiful kingdom to try and please your crush. Awwwh.
