If you’ve been playing Stardew Valley for a while, you may eventually want to change your character’s appearance without starting a new farm. The game lets you customize several parts of your character after you’ve unlocked the right location. Here is everything you need to know about changing your appearance in Stardew Valley.

How to Change Your Appearance in Stardew Valley

To change your character’s appearance in Stardew Valley, you will need to reach at least four Hearts with the Wizard, which will give you access to the basement of the Wizard Tower, where the appearance-change shrine is located (Magical Shrine of Illusions). Once you’ve done that, follow these steps:

1. Visit the Wizard’s Tower in Cindersap Forest.
2. Enter the tower and walk to the basement.
3. Interact with the Magical Shrine of Illusions.
4. Choose the appearance options you want to change.
5. Pay 500g to confirm the changes.

The Shrine of Illusions lets you change several character customization options, including your hairstyle, hair color, skin color, eye color, name, gender, and multiple other appearance settings.

What Can You Change at the Shrine of Illusions?

The Magical Shrine of Illusions gives you access to many of the same customization options available when you first created your character. This means you can change your appearance without having to create a new character or farm.

You can use the shrine whenever you want after unlocking it, although you’ll need to pay the 500g fee each time you make changes. Also, note that some things can’t be changed via the Shrine of Illusions, such as the color of your cosmetics, which you’ll need to change via Tailoring.
