How to Evolve Charjabug in Pokémon Sword and Shield

How to turn Charjabug into a Vilkavolt in Pokémon Sword and Shield

Recommended Videos

Pokémon Sword and Shield comes with a variety of Pokémon with useful evolutions wandering the Wild Area. While you can sometimes find those evolutions and skip the earlier forms, you may want to breed one up from level one to maximize its stats. A useful Pokémon to know how to evolve is Charjabug and turn it into a Vikavolt.

Before you can think about evolving Charjabug, you have to find one. You can get its first evolution, Grubbin, in the Wild Area in the Watchtower Ruins, Dappled Grove, and the North Lake Miloch when it’s raining or during a thunderstorm.

You have a decent chance of locating one in the Slumbering Weald and on Route 1 during the first portion of the game, but it’s low level, which might work great for aspiring trainers at the start of the game. You can find Charjabug in Axew’s Eye when it’s raining, and in Dusty Bowl and Hammerlock Hills during a thunderstorm.

Now, when you have a Charjabug, you’re ready to work toward acquiring a Vikavolt. To turn it into such, you need to give it a thunderstone. You can find a thunderstone throughout Sword and Shield. Some of the notable locations include speaking to the Digging Duo in the Wild Area to have them potentially dig one up for 500 Watts.

You can also find one in the North Lake Miloch region of the Wild Area. It’s the Poké Ball found at the top of the hill to the east of the bridge. Go up to it, and look for a small cliff looking toward the large tower in the distant.

When you’re ready, give your Charjabug the Thunderstone, and you should watch it evolve into a Vikavolt in no time.
