Pokémon Go’s Valentine’s Day event has made two very welcome additions to the game. Starting on Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, Feb. 17, 2020, at 10:00 p.m. in your local time zone, pink Pokémon will appear more often in the wild, in raids, in Eggs, and as Field Research encounters.
Audino and Alomomola have both been added to the game, and will be available to catch in the wild, and can hatch from 7km eggs. They are rare, unfortunately, so it might take a lot of work before you find one. The good news is that both Pokémon will still be around after the event ends, so if you don’t catch one soon, you will have plenty of chances to do so even after the event ends.
The Valentine’s Day event also features some new research, and one of the rewards if an Alomomola encounter. You can find all the research tasks below:
- Catch 14 Luvdisc – Alomomola encounter
- Catch 5 Slowpoke or Whismur – 1000 Stardust
- Defeat 3 Team Go Rocket Grunts – Chansey encounter
- Hatch 3 Eggs – Lickitung encounter
- Evolve a Hoppip – Cherubi encounter
During the event, you will also receive double catch candy, and Lure will last for six hours instead of 30 minutes. Chansey, Clefairy, Miltank, Slowpoke, Whismur will all be spawning at an increased rate, and Siny Chansey can be found in the wild, while Shiny Happiny can be found from eggs.
Finally, on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, from 2p.m. to 5p.m local time, Lickitung will be in four-star raids and know Body Slam. You can receive up to five Raid Passes at no cost during the event by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms. You can only hold one Raid Pass at a time, and you will need to use them before the end of the event.
