How to Get Marksman in Grand Blue

Marksman is a ranged Fighting Style in Grand Blue, making it a good option if you prefer attacking enemies from a distance. It isn’t that difficult to get, but unlocking all the skills can take some time. To help you with that, here is our guide on how to get Marksman in Grand Blue.

Where to Find the Marksman Trainer in Grand Blue

The Marksman trainer NPC is Captain Esopo, who can be found in Maple Village (north of the starting area). Enter Maple Village through the docks and head toward the Rocky Shores area in the top-left portion of the island. You’ll eventually come across a Captain Esopo NPC near the shore.

Be careful, though, as there is another Captain Esopo NPC at the beach itself, and that is a boss, not the Marksman trainer. You’ll know that the NPC is a boss if it lacks a red question mark above its head. If you die to the boss, just wait for the respawn or get up and make your way back to the trainer NPC.

How to Unlock Marksman in Grand Blue

Once you’ve located the correct Captain Esopo, speak to him and choose the dialogue option about learning how to get aim as good as his. You’ll then need to pay 1,000 Gold to learn the Marksman Fighting Style.

After purchasing Marksman, the style will be equipped automatically and added to your unlocked Fighting Styles. Note that to unlock the Marksman skills and passives, you’ll need to complete all of Captain Esopo’s quests. Talk to him to start the questline after unlocking Marksman.

How to Equip Marksman

Unlocking Marksman will equip it automatically. If you unlock another Fighting Style after it, you can switch back to it via the Wardrobe (2nd floor of the house near the Nessa NPC) in Anchor Town (open the Fighting Styles section and select Marksman from your unlocked styles).
