How to unlock the High and Dry achievement

The High and Dry achievement reads that you need to “Avoid touching any corrupted water.”

Near the beginning of the game, you will be in an area called Kwolok’s Hollow, where you will begin to notice purple water in certain areas that you need to lower and avoid. This is the corrupted water and it will damage you if you jump into it.

From this point until the first large escape sequence about a couple hours into the game, you need to completely avoid touching the water at any cost. If you do, immediately pause and exit the game. When you get to the main menu, select the same save you were just on. If you think the game might have auto-saved after you touched the water, you can select a back-up save that is placed seconds before you touched the water.

If you did this correctly, the achievement will pop with a nice little 10 gamerscore for your efforts.
