Sync Pairs in Pokemon Masters can only reach a certain level before that caps out. The level cap for these Sync Pairs gets determined by how many stars they have. The base-level cap for each gives three-star Sync Pairs is 30, four-star Sync Pairs is 35, and five-star Sync Pairs is 40. As the game becomes harder, you need to go beyond these caps. How do you increase a Sync Pairs’ potential to raise the level cap?

Reach Chapter 4

You won’t be able to increase a Sync Pairs’ potential immediately. You need to unlock it. You can do this when you reach the fourth chapter in the game. After that, you’re going to gain access to the Training Area tab in Explore. From there, you need to access the Special Training: Battle Techniques chapter of the Training Area and defeat the first battle. The first battle consists of a fairly straightforward fight, with a weakness in Fighting-type Pokemon. You’ll want to rely on those during your engagement. You’re only going to fight one trainer, so the fight should not take you long to complete.

After you win, you’re going to gain access to the Unlock Lv. Cap menu.

Collecting the Correct Items

Now that you have access to unlocking a Sync Pairs’ potential, you can freely start increasing your team’s level cap. Your next obstacle is meeting the item requirements of all your Sync Pairs. To check on those, return to the main center of Pokemon Masters. Go to the Team tab, and right next to your Polyphone. From there, click to Unlock Level Cap. For the first unlock, many of your trainers are going to require basic items but gaining access to higher levels; you’re going to need the advanced versions of these items. You can acquire these by playing through the game, completing training areas, and exchanging a large number of basic items for the more advanced ones in the store area.

Here is a list of items you’re going to use to unlock a Sync Pairs’ potential:

  • Aid Ade
  • Buff Blend
  • Tech Tonic
  • Great Aid Ade
  • Great Buff Blend
  • Great Tech Tonic
  • Ultra Aid Ade
  • Ultra Buff Blend
  • Ultra Tech Tonic
  • Gym Leader Notes
  • Elite Four Notes
  • Champion Notes

You’re going to need the Gym Leader, Elite Four, and Champion Notes to unlock the final level cap of your Sync Pairs. You can acquire these by completing the hardest training area courses.
