In Pokemon Rumble Rush, Gears are special items that you can equip on your Pokemon to make them more powerful. Different Gears will give Pokemon different types of buffs. One might make him a higher level, while another might give him more health. In this guide, we will go through everything you need to know to get Gears and equip them.

Pokemon Rumble Rush Gears Explained

The first thing you need to get Gears is a piece of Ore. A piece of Ore can be found on every stage and will contain a Gear and some Pokedollars. Keep in mind; there is only one per stage, so you can safely move on after you find it. When you find a piece of Ore, which can drop from killing a boss at the end of an area, you can then refine it to get the Gears.

To refine Ore, just click on the Ore button on the main screen. You can find it in the bottom right corner. If you have any Ore, just tap on it at the top of the screen to refine it. It can take a little time to refine, but this won’t be an issue if you just started the game. When it has finished refining, you will get your Gear.

How To Equip Gears

To equip Gears, select the “Pokemon and Gears” menu from the bottom left corner of the main menu, then click on “Pokemon.” You will see a list of all the Pokemon you own, now just click on the one you wish to equip the Gears on. The next screen will show two different options for Gears, a power Gear and a Summon Gear. Click on the type of Gear you wish to equip, and a new screen will open showing you the different Gears you own that match that type, either Power or Summon. Simply tap on the Gear, then hit Equip, and it will now be on your Pokemon.

How To Upgrade Gears

Gears can be upgraded by going into the “Pokemon and Gears” menu, and then the “Gears” section. Tap on the Gear you wish to upgrade, then click the green Upgrade button. The cost of the upgrade will be displayed, and just click on the Upgrade button to complete the process. You will usually need some Pokedollars, and some duplicate of the Gear to upgrade it. The duplicate will be referred to as “Upgrade Kit,” with a value beside it like “1/2”. This means that you already own one of the Gears, but need a second one of that same type to upgrade it.
