There are plenty of traits to choose from in Remnant: From the Ashes. These traits help define your character because while you can get a trait, you need to put points into these traits to further flesh out your preferred playstyle. Because there are a lot of traits, it’s easy to miss a few. Plus, Remnant: From the Ashes does an excellent job of making you work for several of them. Here’s a break down of what the traits are in the game, and how you go out about adding them to your character.

How to Unlock All Traits in Remnant: From the Ashes

We’ve composed a list of all the traits available in the game. Here’s what they do, and how you go about adding them to your character’s passive collection. We list the base stat increases of the trait because you need trait points to increase the overall effect.

  • Arcane Strike: Increases the mod power bonus you receive from melee hits by 2.5 percent. You receive this trait by taking out Ravager or beating the Totem Father.
  • Bark Skin: Increases your armor’s effectiveness by 1.25 percent. You need to acquire the Twisted Mask from the Mad Merchant in junk town. After you acquire the mask, go to the Living Tree on earth and talk to it. You can only receive the trait if you did not kill the tree.
  • Cold as Ice: Increases the amount of damage you do to enemies when you attack them from behind. You need a teammate to get this trait, and you need to speak to Brabus on Earth. Kill your ally during the faceoff.
  • Elder Knowledge: Increases the amount of experience points your character receives by 1.75 percent. You need to find the tape located in the basement of Ward 13. After you listen to it, you’ll receive the trait.
  • Endurance: Increases your character’s stamina by 2.5 percent. All characters start with this trait at the beginning of the game.
  • Executioner: Increases your character’s critical hit chance by 1 percent. You’re going to receive this trait after you kill Ixillis on Crosus.
  • Exploiter: Increases your character’s weak spot damage by 1.25 percent. You need to kill 150 enemies by hitting their weak spot.
  • Glutton: Increases your character’s speed in using consumables by 2.5 percent. You receive this trait by killing The Unclean One on Crosus.
  • Guardian’s Blessing: Increase your character’s melee weapon damage reduction by 1 percent. You need to go to unlock a specific dungeon using a Curio. When you’re inside, you’re going to fight a boss who you need to get to halfway down with its health. After, stay to kill the root monster, and you’ll get the trait.
  • Handling: Decreases your character’s gun spread and recoil by 1 percent. You acquire this trait after picking up 10 weapons.
  • Keeper’s Blessing: Increases your character’s elemental resistance by 1 percent. You can acquire this trait by assisting the rebels who are on Yaesha.
  • Kingslayer: Your character’s critical hit damage increases by 2.5 percent. You receive this trait after you kill the Undying King, who is on Rhom.
  • Mind’s Eye: Your character’s ranged damage increases by 1.25 percent. You get this trait after you kill the Dreamer and Nightmare on Ward 17.
  • Mother’s Blessing: Increases your character’s ranged damage reduction by 1 percent. You receive this trait after you kill the Root Mother, who is on Earth.
  • Quick Hands: Increases your weapon reload speed by 1.5 percent. You receive this trait after you take out The Ent who is on Earth.
  • Rapid Strike: Increases your character’s melee attack speed. You receive this trait after leveling up melee weapon to level 20. It cannot be a boss weapon.
  • Recovery: Your character’s stamina regeneration increases and the amount of time it takes to activate is reduced by 1.25 percent. You get this trait after killing Claviger, who is on Rhom.
  • Revivalist: Increases your character’s revive speed by 5 percent. You need to revive your allies multiple times to receive the trait.
  • Scavenger: Your character recovers scrap faster by 2.5 percent. You can earn this by recovering the Tarnished ring and returning it to Reggie in Ward 13 or by selling multiple consumable items.
  • Shadow Walker: Reduces the chance of enemies noticing your character by 1.5 percent. Players receive this trait by choosing the Hunter archetype at the beginning of the game.
  • Spirit: Increases your character’s mod power generation by 2.5 percent. Players receive this by choosing the Ex-Cultist archetype at the beginning of the game.
  • Suspicion: Reduces the amount of friendly fire damage your character is going to take. You receive this trait after getting killed by your teammates several times.
  • Swiftness: Your character’s movement speed increases by a small amount. Players receive this by doing the Yaesha Bell Puzzle. However, they need to skip the second line when performing the song.
  • Teamwork: Your character’s teamwork range increases by 1 meter. Players can get this trait by joining another player’s game, or having someone join theirs.
  • Triage: Your character’s health regeneration effectiveness increases by 5 percent. You receive this after speaking to Navun on Yaesha.
  • Trigger Happy: Your character’s rate of fire increases by 2 percent at the first level, but only goes up by 1 percent for every point you put into the trait. Players receive this trait after leveling up any ranged weapon they have up to max level.
  • Vigor: Your character’s health increases by 2.5 percent. All players receive this trait at the beginning of the game.
  • Warrior: Increases your character’s melee damage by 1.25 percent. Players receive this by choosing the Scrapper archetype at the beginning of the game.
  • Will to Live: Increases your character’s health when they get wounded by 5 percent. Players receive this when they are revived in multiplayer matches multiple times.
  • World Walker: Reduces your character’s stamina cost for all actions by 1 percent. You receive this when you first enter Rhom
