It’s the season of giving in Clash of Clans. There are gifts everywhere when you open up the shop page, and there are two things that will spring to mind.

First, what is a gift box? What can you get in a gift box? Is it more of the wonderful, time-saving gems? Or perhaps something even cooler, like a sweet statue?

Secondly, I want some of those gifts. How can I open one, and how can I let my friends and clan mates open some?

Clan Gifts in Clash of Clans are just that, gifts for clanmates. They are typically offered during seasonal events, such as Christmas and Halloween, as an added incentive to making a purchase of gems on the game’s store. The number of gems that you have purchased corresponds to the number of gems that are contained within a gift, with the number per gift increasing as the number of gems purchased increases.

Once you have made a purchase of the gems, the gifts should then appear as clickable within the clan chat for your clan mates to click and accept, normally with 20 gifts available to offer. Likewise, if a clanmate purchases gems, they will present a message in chat that will allow you to accept a gift, providing you with the corresponding amount of gems.

Ordering the gems with the extra gifts costs exactly the same as the option without the gifts, and the number of gems is not decreased from the gems that you receive, so you lose nothing by purchasing the option with the gifts.
