Nintendo has released new sales data today, featuring the Switch performances and some of the most appreciated games for the hybrid system. Things are apparently running pretty wild now, and we couldn’t be happier to report.
As of March 31, 2018, Nintendo Switch has sold 17.79 million units worldwide. The console launch only on March 3, 2017, so this means that the milestone was achieved in a matter of one year.
Also, there is a plan to ship 20 million units by the end of the fiscal year, and 100 million software units by the same timeframe (between April 2018 and March 2019). Currently, more than 68.97 million games have been sold for the system.
These are the nine best selling games on Nintendo Switch. Interestingly, the latest Kirby game was launched only in March, and this means that it has sold over a million copies in just a month or so:
- Super Mario Odyssey – 10.41 million
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 9.22 million
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 8.48 million
- Splatoon 2 – 6.02 million
- 1-2 Switch – 2.29 million
- ARMS – 1.85 million
- Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – 1.31 million
- Kirby: Star Allies – 1.29 million
- Pokken Tournament DX – 1.16 million
