Here’s how you unlock Season of Dawn’s artifact, Lantern of Osiris, in Destiny 2
Destiny 2‘s new season has come out, Season of Dawn, and it returns to focus to the time-traveling Guardian, Osiris. With a new season here, you need to unlock a new artifact to gain access to an array of useful modifications for your armor and weapons.
To unlock the artifact, you need to speak to Osiris and make your way through the A Matter of Time quest. You’ll first receive this at the start of the Season. After you talk to him, he’ll introduce you to the current threat and what the Red Legion is attempting to do by controlling time. Their goal is to have them win the Red War. The quest has you collect Sundial components, link an Obelisk to the Sundial, charge it, and then activate it.
After this, you return to Osiris and complete a Sundial mission. In this mission, it’s you and five other Guardians attempting to stop the Red Legion in their tracks. At the end of it, you fight the big boss of the week and take them down. The bosses have different mechanics you need to pay attention to, so make sure you’re prepared and ready to adapt with your Fireteam.
At the end of A Matter of Time, you need to return to Osiris. Speak to him, and he’ll give you the Lantern of Osiris, which is your Artifact for the season. You’ll need to level it up to unlock different modifications, granting you a variety of bonuses for your Guardian.
