Thanks to a Nintendo press release distributed after the game’s reveal during March’s Nintendo Direct Mini, we know that the physical version’s cartridge will hold 8 GB worth of data. This cartridge holds most of the information required for Borderlands: Game of the Year, but you’ll have to download the extra 6.6 GB from the Nintendo eShop to have the full game.

As for the other titles in the collection — Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel — you’ll need to download them too. They’ll set you back 35 GB, so you’ll definitely need an external hard drive to install them as they won’t fit on the Switch’s internal 32 GB SSD. The game’s Amazon listing shows that 42 GB is required to download these elements, which lines up with the 35 GB and 6.6 GB download sizes.

Finally, for anyone wondering, Borderlands Legendary Collection will run at full 1080p at 30FPS, according to developer Gearbox. Not too shabby, if you ask us.
