Hellpoint PC requirements – minimum and recommended specs

Hellpoint‘s release date draws closer. Cradle Games’ intense RPG will be swinging its way to PC, Mac, and Linux — as well as consoles — on July 30 to the sound of death metal tunes, so it’s high time we learned about what specifications you’ll need to run it.

Hellpoint PC system requirements

Minimum specs

• Operating System – Windows 7
• Processor – 4 threads, 2.5+ GHz
• Memory – 4 GB RAM
• Graphics card – GeForce GTX 760 or better
• DirectX – Version 11
• Storage space – 6 GB

Recommended specs

• Operating System – Windows 10
• Processor – 4 cores, 3+ GHz
• Memory – 6 GB RAM
• Graphics card – GeForce GTX 1050
• DirectX – Version 11
• Storage space – 6 GB

It seems strange that there isn’t anything more specific on the processor side of these system requirements. Those are the requirements listed on the game’s Steam store listing, though and, while other places state that Intel Core, Intel Pentium, or AMD processors are needed, each one is different depending on what website you visit. 

There’s also no information on the game’s official website either. It’ll be best if you check your own system’s hardware to ensure that you can run Hellpoint before you buy it.

For those wondering about the Linux system requirements, they’re the same as the PC ones above minus the Windows operating system and DirectX. Every other requirement is the same, though, so ensure you meet those specs to play it on Linux.

Recommended specs

• Operating System – OSX El Capitan (10.11)

• Memory – 6 GB RAM
• Graphics card – GeForce GTX 1050
• Storage space – 6 GB

It’s worth bearing in mind that, while PC players can have different versions of Windows to run Hellpoint, playing on Mac requires you to have OSX El Capitan. If you don’t, you won’t be able to play it on your machine.
