Risk of Rain 2 – How To Unlock Alternative Colors And Skins For Survivors

Risk of Rain 2 has a new addition for the fashion conscious among you. You can now unlock alternative colors and skins for your Survivors.

If you have been getting a little tired of how you look in Risk of Rain 2, then good news. The Skills 2.0 update has arrived, and with it comes to the chance to deck out your favorite Survivor in a fancy new outfit. You can unlock new skins/alternative colors by completing special challenges that have been added to the game for each Survivor.

There is some bad news though, some of these challenges are hard (looking at you, Merc man), and at the moment I cannot tell you which ones hide the skils, and which ones hide new ability options.

I am sure the community is already hard at work, figuring it all out since the update dropped a couple of hours ago. With that said, I’ll be hammering the game for the next couple of days trying to get them all done, so will update this guide as I, or other players, find out what lurks behind the challenges.

Survivor Challenges

Commando

• Rolling Thunder – As Commando, land the killing blow on an Overloading Worm.
• Incorruptible – As a Commando, clear 20 stages in a single run without picking up any Lunar Items.
• Mastery – As Commando, Obliterate yourself at the Obelisk on Monsoon

MUL-T

• Gotcha! – As MUL-T, land the killing blow on an Imp Overlord with the Preon Accumulator.
• Pest Control – As MUL-T, defeat two Beetle Queens without leaving the teleporter zone.
• Mastery – As MUL-T, obliterate yourself at the Obelisk on Monsoon.

Huntress

• One-Shot, One Kill – As Huntress, collect and carry 12 Crowbars at once.
• Master – As Huntress, obliterate yourself at the Obelisk on Monsson.

Engineer

• Better With Friends – As Engineer, recruit 12 minions at one time.
• 100% Calculated – As Engineer, defeat the teleporter boss in less than 5 seconds after it spawns.

Artificer

• Orbital Bombardment – kill 15 enemies before touching the ground.
• Massace – perform a multikill of 20 enemies.
• Chunked! – fully defeat the teleporter boss in a one-second burst of damage.

Mercenary

• Demon of the Skies – don’t touch the ground for 30 seconds
• Ethereal – complete a Prismatic Trial without falling below 100% health.
• Mastery – obliterate yourself at the Obelisk on Monsoon.

Rex

• Bushwhacked – complete an entire teleporter even while under 50% health.
• Mastery – Obliterate yourself at the Obelisk on Monsoon.

Loader

• Swing By – Reach and proceed through the Celestial Portal in 25 minutes or less.
• Mastery – Obliterate yourself at the Obelisk on Monsoon.
